Strategy

As a start-up company looking to both hire employees and offer a service, DTL needed captivating branding and an immediate way for potential customers and employees to communicate with company personnel. We simply want to get the ball rolling with hiring and immediately after start providing the service. By creating a website that easily directs the user the right information, we are able to simplify confusing information to a wider audience of people. In combination with social media advertising, we plan to attract thousands of leads monthly and apply tactics like email marketing to capture customers for DTL.

Creating ads that are compelling but not selling was one of the toughest aspects of the ad campaign for DTL. Being clear on what the service is and showing its benefits had to be the focus of each ad. Converting website traffic into sales with a trucking company is also a huge challenge.

Challenges

Logo Design

The approach to this logo was to compile silhouettes into a unique and functional design. Using symbols, flat artwork, and Bold text, the design reflects the traveler, the journey, and destination. The color scheme was meant to be vibrant, harmonic and not too aggressive as one would expect a trucker logo to appear.

Web Design

After creating a visually pleasing logo design, we knew it was time for an informational-style website with contact capabilities. The same principles from the logo design still applies on the website with clean and elegant elements that naturally flow from page to page. The overall functionality of the website is meant to be easy and clear so that’s why we only included a few pages of rich content to support the claims of fast and easy.

Business Card Design

For the business card design we went with the secondary color of the branding. This was risky because of brand consistency principle but we thought it worked wonderfully and felt cohesive with the existing branding.
