Heart of Florida Landscaping & Tree Service allowed us to give an already operating business a fresh and cohesive branding package. We know this company is built on hard work and determination so we made sure to keep the designs clean but with an industrial feel.
Our goal was to create awareness for this new and emerging landscaping company. We want to make a perception of a well-established brand with some creative marketing tools.
We plan to maximize the effectiveness of print material for this client even though the digital age is among us. Because the nature of this early business requires a lot of door-to-door impressions, we were sure to create beautiful and informative pieces of print material that directly display the brand's quality and services. By analyzing the market and understanding what the competitors are doing, we were able to attack areas that others neglected which ultimately helped sell the service in a unique way.
We faced a couple of challenges with this project. The biggest is the logo creation. We wanted a professional design without having it too dull. This field is challenging because customers usually see branding later after purchasing the service. They buy for the service but remember because of the branding.
Making sure to keep it patch-like, our design team looked at various shapes and thought the hexagon was most appropriate for this particular logo. To add dimension to the logo, tree silhouettes are in the back, a banner expands beyond the hexagon, while a chainsaw takes centerstage. We focused on finding solid colors that were contrasty and vibrant yet still making sense for the line of work.
After a few rounds of presenting business card designs, our client chose the design most represented the brand and personalities behind the company. A person is the one handing business cards to another so it just makes sense to ensure the card matches the identity of the brand and owner.
